OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing a high-end iPhone from a McDonald’s manager and then attempting to sell it just hours later at a Walmart kiosk.
According to Oak Hill Police, officers were called around 4:00 p.m. Tuesday to the McDonald’s on East Main Street, where the female victim, a manager at the restaurant, reported her iPhone 16 Pro Max, valued at $1,200, had been stolen.
Surveillance video reviewed by Officer Bias and forensics officer Tyler Bell helped positively identify the suspect as Tabitha Seletyn. Shortly after the theft, footage from Walmart showed Seletyn allegedly attempting to sell the stolen phone at a self-service kiosk inside the store.
Due to the crime overlapping jurisdictions, assistance was requested from another agency to continue the investigation.
