FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A woman is accused of driving toward her ex-boyfriend and swerving at him following an argument at a Fayette County residence, according to a criminal complaint.
Cpl. Korey D. M. Spears with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported domestic incident on Mountain Top Lane at approximately 5:29 p.m. on September 28, 2026.
The man told deputies he and his ex-girlfriend, Kelly Dawn Crawford, had argued and that she refused when he asked her to leave the property.
According to the complaint, the man began walking toward a neighbor’s home to contact law enforcement. As Crawford left in her vehicle, she allegedly accelerated in his direction and swerved toward him.
The man said the vehicle struck his left leg but left no marks and caused no injury.
A witness told deputies Crawford drove toward the man at a high rate of speed and swerved to hit him. The witness’s statement did not confirm whether the vehicle made contact.
Spears stated in the complaint that he was seeking a warrant for domestic assault against Crawford.
