POINT PLEASANT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities responded to a report of a possible domestic incident on Thursday, November 6, 2024, at a residence on 1132 Evergreen Drive in Point Pleasant.
Upon arrival, officers encountered the male victim, who displayed visible injuries, including bruising and a knot on his forehead. According to the victim, the altercation occurred after Sarah Cook, the alleged perpetrator, initially allowed him to stay the night. A verbal argument escalated, during which Cook reportedly threw her phone, striking the victim in the head.
When questioned by law enforcement, Cook admitted to throwing the phone out of frustration, acknowledging that it hit the victim. She stated her intention was to get the victim to leave the premises.
Cook was subsequently arrested on charges of domestic battery and transported to the Western Regional Jail for processing.
