BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say she was seen defecating along the side of Bluefield Avenue in public view.
According to authorities, around 12:35 p.m. on February 17, 2026, an off-duty patrolman contacted on-duty officers after reportedly witnessing a woman exposing her anus while defecating near the roadway.
Responding officers arrived and located human waste in the grassy area between a nearby auto parts store and the street. Police then located the woman inside a tire shop across the road and made contact with her.
The woman, identified as Birgit Figueroa, allegedly admitted to using the restroom in the grass and stated she would return to bag the waste, according to the report.
Figueroa was taken into custody and charged with indecent exposure under West Virginia law.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
