NITRO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One woman has been arrested for punching her sister in the head during an argument over prior drug use and being quiet inside the house.
According to a criminal complaint, on Sunday, August 16, at approximately 3:26 AM, police were dispatched to a residence in Nitro for a report of a disturbance.
Metro Communications advised police that the victim was at the residence and was being struck/hit by her sister, 29-year-old Brooke Ann Lester. Metro also advised that the caller reported that she was hit in the head, and then the call dropped immediately after.
The complaint states that police recognized both names from prior calls for service, and knew that the address given was one that they had both lived at several times in the past.
Police arrived on the scene a short time later and located the victim and a witness on the front porch of the residence. She stated that she was in an argument with Brooke about past illegal drug usage, and being quiet inside of the home.
She stated that Brooke began to scream and yell at her and then began striking her with a closed fist in the head and neck area. Police noticed that the victim had several slight reddened markings around the back of her neck, upper chest, and upper back area.
She went on to advise that she did not need medics. The witness on the scene went on to corroborate the victim’s statement and advised that she witnessed the incident.
Brooke Ann Lester was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery. She is currently out on bond.
