LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A routine traffic stop in Lewisburg led to the arrest of a woman on shoplifting and identity-related charges.
On July 28, 2025, around 7:35 p.m., a West Virginia State Trooper initiated a traffic stop on a multicolored motorcycle traveling along Poplar Street. A white female passenger carrying a bag filled with clothing and food was asked to identify herself and claimed to be Tommi Robinson, born May 31, 1992.
The Trooper noted that the clothing items still had retail tags attached and questioned where they had come from. The woman admitted she had taken the items — along with snacks including Fruit Gushers and donuts — from Goodwill and Kroger at the nearby Red Oaks Shopping Center without paying.
She was placed under arrest for shoplifting and transported to the WVSP Lewisburg Detachment for processing. She was cited and released, but the case didn’t end there.
Further investigation revealed the woman had falsified her identity. Authorities determined her real name is Journey Robinson, born June 25, 2000. As a result, Robinson was additionally charged with two counts of providing false information to the Department of Public Safety.
