PEYTONA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Racine woman is facing charges after allegedly threatening to kill her mother and resisting arrest, according to a criminal complaint filed by the West Virginia State Police.
On Sunday, October 5, 2025, at around 4:50 p.m., Trooper M.D. Veres responded to a reported disturbance at a home on Daniel Boone Parkway in Peytona.
Dispatchers advised that the caller’s daughter, identified as 42-year-old Jodi Lee Shamblin of Racine, had allegedly made threats to kill her mother.
When Trooper Veres arrived, the victim told him that Shamblin had become verbally aggressive and said she was going to kill her, causing the victim to fear for her safety.
The trooper located Shamblin in a back bedroom of the home and escorted her outside.
According to the complaint, Shamblin became irate and combative, actively resisting as the trooper attempted to place her in hand restraints. She was then taken into custody.
After being transported to the State Police Madison Detachment for processing, Shamblin allegedly refused to provide her fingerprints, telling officers she had been fingerprinted before and would not do so again.
Shamblin has been charged with domestic assault, refuse to fingerprint, and obstruction. She is currently at Southwestern Regional Jail on a $600 cash-only bond.
