PEYTONA, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Boone County woman was arrested early Saturday morning after a domestic disturbance turned violent, resulting in multiple assaults on law enforcement officers.
At approximately 12:01 a.m., the Boone County 911 Center received a call reporting a disturbance at a home on Toney’s Branch Road in the Peytona area. Multiple West Virginia State Police troopers responded to the scene, including Senior Trooper M.S. Hall, Trooper D.M. Copley, A.M. Kirk, and G.R. Spencer.
Upon arrival, troopers met with the male victim outside the home. He told officers he and his girlfriend, Hannah Christian, live together and had been drinking heavily. He said he noticed Christian bleeding and attempted to check on her, at which point she allegedly began kicking and attacking him. Troopers observed visible blood on the victim’s right wrist.
When officers approached the residence, they made contact with Christian at the front door. As they attempted to detain her, Christian allegedly tried to close the door on one of the troopers and then punched Trooper Copley in the face with a closed fist.
A struggle ensued as officers tried to place her under arrest. Christian reportedly screamed profanities, kicked the officers, and became increasingly aggressive. After being restrained, she continued to act belligerently, hurling racial slurs, derogatory remarks, and even spitting on Trooper Spencer during transport.
Christian was taken to Southwestern Regional Jail, where she is being held awaiting arraignment on multiple charges, including:
-
Domestic battery
-
Battery on a law enforcement officer
-
Obstruction
-
Disorderly conduct
