Woman arrested for fraudulent use of access device, heroin possession

WHITESVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Boone County woman accrued additional charges last month during an arrest based on active warrants.

According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, Deputies with the department were conducting road patrols in the Whitesville area.

It was during these patrols that Deputies located Carol Fleming – 48 years old of Whitesville, WV – who was known to have had active warrants at the time.

Deputies made contact with Fleming and conducted an arrest based on the active warrants, which reportedly stem from two counts of fraudulent use of an access device.

As the arrest was being made, Deputies located a substance consistent with heroin in possession of the subject. Fleming was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance as a result.

Upon her arrest, Fleming was taken into custody and transported as per procedure.
