RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman was arrested on a drug-related charge following an investigation conducted by the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office in the Bradley area.
According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on March 7, 2026, when Cpl. J. Howard investigated a case in the Bradley community.
During the course of the investigation, Howard requested assistance from the Beckley Police Department’s K-9 Unit, which included Pfc. L. Capehart and her K-9 partner, Zero.
Following the investigation, authorities arrested Patricia Rader. She has been charged with possession with intent to deliver.
Sheriff Frank Priddy announced the arrest and commended the efforts of the officers involved in the investigation.
“Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton would like to commend Cpl. Howard for his thorough investigation and quick response,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Officials also expressed appreciation to Pfc. L. Capehart and K-9 Zero for assisting in the investigation.
No additional details about the investigation were immediately released.
As with all criminal cases, the charge is an allegation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
