PUTNAM COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman standing in the road, shouting angrily at neighbors, threatening to harm them, was arrested.
The Putnam County 911 dispatch received a concerning call regarding a disturbance in the neighborhood of Chestnut Street in the town of Eleanor, West Virginia.
According to the report, a woman residing at that address, identified as Sheylene Lynn Martin, had been aggressively yelling and threatening her neighbors who lived on Chestnut Street. Deputies Fletcher and Veith were promptly dispatched to investigate the situation.
Upon arrival, the deputies found Ms. Martin standing in the middle of the road, shouting angrily at the surrounding homes. The officers instructed her to return to her own residence and await further instructions.
Afterward, the deputies interviewed the affected neighbors for more details about the incident. The statements they collected painted a troubling picture – the neighbors reported that Ms. Martin had been revving her car engine and yelling profanities and threats at them.
A male resident said she had threatened to “fuck them up,” while his wife said Ms. Martin had screamed that she was going to “fuck her up” and “kick her ass.”
Another neighbor stated that Ms. Martin had threatened to “beat her ass” and told her to come out to the street to fight. A fourth person also reported that Ms. Martin had come into her yard, called her a “bitch and an idiot,” and demanded that she come into the road so Ms. Martin could “beat her ass.”
All of the witnesses expressed genuine fear that Ms. Martin was going to harm them physically. Based on the overwhelming evidence, the deputy determined that charges of assault were warranted against Ms. Martin for her threatening behavior toward the four neighbors.
