CABELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Huntington woman died after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 64 Wednesday evening, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Troopers from the Huntington Detachment responded June 10 to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on the westbound lanes of I-64 near mile marker 14.
When troopers arrived, they found Kristy L. Manley, 36, of Huntington, in the roadway and began performing CPR until Cabell County EMS personnel arrived. Police said the driver involved, David J. Kennison, 61, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, remained at the scene and had also been administering CPR before troopers arrived.
Manley was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
State police said Manley’s next of kin has been notified.
The investigation remains ongoing.
