ANSTED, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Fayette County woman told deputies her boyfriend repeatedly struck and kicked her, destroyed her phone as she tried to call 911 and prevented her from leaving their residence, according to a criminal complaint.
Deputy First Class T. L. Farley II responded to Ansted City Hall on October 1, 2026, where the woman provided a recorded statement about an incident she said occurred around 3 a.m. that morning.
The woman identified her boyfriend as Timothy Robert Maichle. She told the deputy Maichle had been drinking beer and became belligerent after accusing her of copying one of his friend’s phone numbers into her contacts.
According to the complaint, the woman said Maichle slapped her approximately 10 times before punching her in the face, knocking her to the floor. She alleged that he then kicked her in the ribs and threw a frozen water bottle that struck her in the chest.
The woman said she attempted to call 911, but Maichle destroyed her cellphone before she could complete the call. She also reported that he stood near the doorway, told her she could not leave and threatened to strike her if she tried.
She told the deputy she escaped when Maichle went to the bathroom, ran from the residence and flagged down a passing woman for help.
Farley reported observing apparent bruising above the woman’s left eye and on her right rib area, which he described as consistent with her account. She was offered medical assistance and said she would seek emergency treatment if she felt it was necessary.
The supplied complaint does not specify charges against Maichle or indicate whether he was arrested. The allegations have not been proven in court.
