RANDOLPH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An investigation is underway after a woman was sent to the hospital after her cousin attempted to rip her eyes out.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on December 14, 2023, Deputies received a call from Randolph E-911 in reference to a victim of a battery seeking medical treatment at Valley Health Care in Mill Creek and wanting to pursue criminal charges.
Upon police arrival at Valley Health Care, police made contact with the victim who advised that she was awoken by her cousin telling her mom that “she hates me”.
The victim further stated that she stated to the defendant “I asked her so you hate me, and she began to try to rip my eyes out and she hit me a couple times”.
The victim then advised that they were in the defendant’s mom’s front room of her residence when this happened.
She also stated that after the defendant got up and let go she stated “Call the cops you cop calling wh***”.
While speaking with the victim at Valley Health Care, an officer observed hematomas underneath both of her eyes, along with her right eye being extremely swollen from what appeared to be a result of blunt force trauma.
The name of the defendant has not been released by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
