BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Woodrow Wilson High School has announced Rachel Sexton as its new principal ahead of the start of the 2026-27 school year.
Sexton previously served as the school’s assistant principal and is now stepping into the leadership role as students prepare to return to class.
In announcing the appointment, the school congratulated Sexton and expressed confidence in her leadership.
“After serving our school community as Assistant Principal, we’re excited to see you step into this new role. We look forward to another great year of learning, growth, and success under your leadership.”
The announcement comes as Raleigh County Schools prepares to begin the new academic year. The first day of classes for students is Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026.
