The Flying Eagles’ defense also came up with key stops to keep the Patriots (0-1) from mounting a serious comeback.
With the victory, Woodrow Wilson opens the year 1-0 and now turns its attention to a rivalry matchup next Friday when the Flying Eagles host the Greenbrier East Spartans in Beckley. Washington will look to bounce back at home when it faces Hedgesville.
