PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A community conversation on inclusive capital access will be hosted this month by the West Virginia Hive.
Scheduled for 1:00pm to 2:30pm on June 25, 2024, the event will take place at The Loft, located at 1123 Mercer Street in Princeton.
The event will be free of charge to those who register to attend, and those interested in registering may do so at the WV Hive website.
According to Deputy Director of the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority, Judy Moore, the purpose of the conversation will be to collect data on capital access barriers as well as disparities in communities which may be underrepresented.
“As we work together to identify challenges surrounding access to capital, participation from underrepresented business owners is critical to gain insight into their unique experiences and challenges, knowing where the gaps exist allows for critical, targeted interventions and innovative resource development to help solve for the needs identified,” said Moore.
“By dismantling barriers and disparities, we can foster an environment where all entrepreneurs can thrive. Access to capital is an essential element for business start-ups and the continued growth of existing businesses. We need to better understand what southern West Virginia minority business owners are facing to help them eliminate barriers and identify the resources for their enterprises to thrive.”
