BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia Hive Network is set to launch a new four-part CO.STARTERS Bootcamp beginning July 21, offering aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs a chance to develop their business ideas through a nationally-recognized training program.
Since 2020, WV Hive has offered the CO.STARTERS program at a subsidized rate of $50 per participant, making it affordable and accessible to individuals across southern West Virginia.

Organizers say the investment has paid off for many who have gone on to build successful businesses.
“Erica Bowden of Auntie E’s in McArthur is an excellent example of someone who credits the CO.STARTERS program with taking a great idea and turning it into a viable business,” said Judy Moore, executive director of the WV Hive and deputy director of the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority.
Moore emphasized that the goal of subsidizing the program is to ensure anyone with a business idea—no matter their background or resources—can participate.
The upcoming bootcamp includes four evening sessions:
- July 21 | 5:30–8:30 p.m. | In-Person with Virtual Option
- July 28 | 5:30–8:30 p.m. | Virtual
- August 4 | 5:30–8:30 p.m. | In-Person with Virtual Option
- August 11 | 5:30–8:30 p.m. | Virtual
Moore said, “The CO.STARTERS Bootcamp allows participants to gain the tools, insights and support one needs to bring their entrepreneurial vision to life. The interactive program allows business people to work with their peers to strategize, problem solve and apply business basics to your idea.”
WV Hive operates as the entrepreneurship initiative of the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority, serving a 13-county region that includes Raleigh, Fayette, Summers, Nicholas, Webster, Greenbrier, Pocahontas, Monroe, Mercer, McDowell, Wyoming, Logan, and Mingo counties.
