CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) announced today that registration has opened for its Becoming An Outdoors Woman fall workshop, which will take place at Canaan Valley Resort State Park from Sept. 13 to 15.
The program is designed to introduce women to various hunting, fishing and other outdoor-related activities. Workshops provide an all-inclusive experience where participants can learn and explore outdoor activities with encouragement and support from expert instructors, other participants and staff from the WVDNR’s Wildlife Resources, Law Enforcement and State Parks sections.
“Becoming an Outdoors Woman is a life-changing experience that empowers you to embrace your inner adventurer with confidence and courage,” said Ashley Anderson, state coordinator for Becoming An Outdoors Woman. “Whether it’s learning how to navigate a trail or row in tandem with a friend, you’ll leave with a newfound appreciation for yourself, for others and for the outdoors we all love.”
The workshop is limited to 75 participants, and spots fill up fast, so outdoor enthusiasts are invited to learn more and register online at WVdnr.gov/becoming-an-outdoor-woman.
Each participant enrolled in a hunting or fishing course must show proof of having a valid West Virginia hunting or fishing license before the event. A copy of the license must be sent to Emily McCabe at emily.k.mccabe@wv.gov. Hunting and fishing licenses may be purchased online at WVhunt.com and WVfish.com.
