WYOMING COUNTY (LOOTPRESS) – Wyoming County Commissioner Jason Mullins, who has served as commissioner for over a decade, has announced a change in party affiliation.
Mullins announced the development on Monday, expressing gratitude for the support of his constituents and confirming the change from Democrat to Republican.
“I have always served as a Democrat, but I now will be registered to vote and serve as a Republican,” said Mullins of the change in party affiliation. “As with all of my important decisions, I have prayed about this and fee it is the right thing for me to do.”
The public servant made note of the difficult work conducted by the county commission and local officials over the years, but also declared that there remains much work to be done.
“The commission, and all other locally elected officials have worked hard to make our great county a better place to live and work,” Mullins declared. “There are many other projects that need to be accomplished, and we are far from finished. Thank you for your support over the years.”
Members of the Wyoming County Commission meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the County Commission Meeting Room at the Riverside Complex at 9:00am. Additional information on the Wyoming County Commission can be found at the Wyoming County Commission website.
