MULLENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is in jail after he struck his wife in the head with a glass cup.
According to Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, a call came in on Sunday, May 23, for a domestic. Â When they arrived, a female victim was sitting in the yard with blood all over her head and body. Â Neighbors were by her side, trying to help her stop bleeding. Â When deputies asked what happened, the victim said that her husband hit her in the head with a glass cup.
Deputies found the suspect, Michael Burdiss, at home with blood on his shirt. Â Deputies arrested him, and the victim was transported to Raleigh General Hospital for treatment.
Burdiss is charged with domestic battery and malicious wounding. Â He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 20,000 dollar bond.
