OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Explosive devices were found during a traffic stop in Wyoming County.
According to WV State Police, on July 14, 2021, they pulled over a Chevrolet truck. The driver and the passenger both had suspended licenses. During a Terry Frisk, the officer felt a bulging item within the right cargo pocket of Freddie Lambert Jr. When police asked Lambert to identify the object; he said, “I do not know he thinks fireworks.” The officer then noticed several wires attached to blasting caps associated with explosive devices used for conducting deep wall excavation.
The explosives were removed safely, and Lambert was arrested.
Lambert is charged with four counts of illegal possession of destructive or explosive material. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 5,000 dollar bond.
