OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Oceana man faces an alleged sexual abuse charge in Wyoming County.
According to court documents, on Friday, January 22, 2021, Oceana Police was called to a complaint, where they found the victim near the WV Rt. 10 and 971 intersections. She advised that Stanley Belcher made contact with her that she did not want. The victim says that Belcher and two other men showed up to take her to the cigarette store, but they refused to take her home. One of the males was dropped off, then Blecher pulled over and pulled the victim out of the car. During an exchange, Belcher got rough with the victim. Belcher then pulled off her bra, and it ended up breaking. The victim also says that Belcher attempted to pull off her pants. He stole 40 dollars from her.
After the incident, the victim tried to talk to Belcher’s mother, but she didn’t believe her.
Belcher is charged with 1st-degree sexual abuse and is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 10,000 dollar bond.
