WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Wyoming County Schools have released the staggered start schedule for the 2025-2026 academic year, with students returning to classrooms in phases beginning August 22.
For students in grades K-12, the school year kicks off as follows:
- August 22: Students in grades 1, 3, 6, and 10 return.
- August 25: Students in grades 2, 7, 8, and 11, as well as 12th graders, begin classes. A Kindergarten open house will also take place that day.
- August 26: Students in grades 4, 5, and 9 start, with ninth graders participating in freshman orientation.
- August 27: All K-12 students attend school together for the first time.
Pre-K students will also begin on a staggered schedule:
- August 27: Pre-K open house will be held.
- August 28: Students with last names
- beginning with A through L attend their first day.
- August 29: Students with last names beginning with M through Z start.
- September 2: All Pre-K students report for their first full day together.
