WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman is in jail after she choked her girlfriend.
According to deputies in Wyoming County, a domestic call was received on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at around 3:45 pm. Â A witness was driving by and observed a physical altercation between two females. When deputies arrived at the home on Bailey Highway near Brenton, they witnessed two children outside who advised that their mom and her girlfriend had gotten into a fight in the yard earlier. Â One of the children told deputies that the suspect, Tabitha Mullens, was choking his mom, and she was about to lose consciousness and pass out.
The fight started inside, then was carried out into the yard when Mullens dragged his mom outside by the hair of her head.
The victim was uncooperative and would not provide a statement, according to deputies. Â One of the children said that Mullens has both threatened and struck him in the past.
Mullens is charged with domestic battery and strangulation. Â She is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 5,000 dollar bond.
