HERNDON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Wyoming County woman was arrested Sunday night following a reported domestic incident in Herndon that led state police to recover suspected drugs and place her in custody on multiple charges.
According to a criminal complaint, troopers were dispatched to the area around 10 p.m. on December 28, 2025, after 911 received a report of a physical domestic disturbance involving Amber Foley.
When the responding trooper arrived, a man met him in the driveway and advised that Foley was sitting inside a truck parked nearby. The trooper approached the passenger side of the vehicle and began speaking with Foley, who allegedly attempted to hide an object beside her leg.
The complaint states that Foley was instructed several times to exit the vehicle but refused to comply. The trooper then removed her from the truck and placed her in hand restraints.
A search revealed a black wallet Foley had allegedly been trying to conceal. Inside, troopers reported finding a clear plastic container with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, as well as an open pack of Suboxone, a Schedule III controlled substance.
Foley was placed under arrest and secured in the patrol vehicle.
Troopers later obtained a recorded statement from the alleged victim, who told authorities that Foley arrived at her residence in Herndon asking for a pack of cigarettes, became angry, punched her in the throat, and then pushed her outside the home. The trooper documented injuries to the victim’s neck, according to the report.
Foley was transported to the Beckley Detachment for processing without incident.
She is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of obstructing an officer, and one count of domestic battery.
