GLEN FORK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A domestic incident which occurred on Monday afternoon has led to charges against one individual involved.
According to Wyoming County Magistrate Court documents, on Monday, March 18, 2024, at approximately 3:45pm, Trooper Browning of the West Virginia State Police was dispatched to the Glen Fork area with regard to a domestic dispute.
Law enforcement was greeted at the residence in question by a male victim who had a visible, three-inch laceration to his head. The male stated that Madaline Blankenship had struck him with a walking stick.
The responding officer spoke with Mrs. Blankenship while the victim spoke with EMS. Blankenship stated that she had gone to the room of the victim to inform him that her brother was there when the victim allegedly got up and started toward her, at which point she struck him with a cane.
Law enforcement obtained a voluntary audio statement from the brother of Mrs. Blankenship, who stated that he had sent Blankenship to tell the victim that her brother wanted to borrow some money. The statement indicates that upon arrival at the room, Mrs. Blankenship began to argue with the victim before striking him in the face.
A statement obtained from the victim indicates that he had just woken up and had asked Blankenship to give him a minute when she started yelling at him and hit him with the aforementioned cane in the face.
Blankenship was placed under arrest by the trooper on charges of Domestic Battery and Malicious Wounding.
