CYCLONE, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Wyoming County woman was arrested Monday after deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the Cyclone area.
According to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, Cpl. H. Walker was dispatched on February 23, 2026, to a verbal domestic situation. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the suspect, identified as Larissa Cooper, who admitted she had been arguing with the victim and had threatened to hit him during the dispute.
Another deputy spoke with the victim, who said the argument began over money. He told officers that after Cooper noticed the money was missing, she allegedly entered his bedroom yelling and demanding it be returned. The victim said he felt threatened when Cooper began acting as if she was going to swing at him, prompting him to call 911.
Cooper was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
