Wyoming County woman charged with strangulation

OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Oceana woman is facing felony charges stemming from a domestic incident in Wyoming County over the weekend.

According to Ptl. Todd Reilley, authorities were dispatched to a domestic incident in the Oceana area on the evening of Sunday, May 29, 2022.

Ptl. Cody Stewart also responded, and was the first to arrive on the scene.

Per the complaint, the incident involved Natosha Belcher grabbing Dale Belcher by the throat and attempting to choke him.

Though he was able to remove her, a dog in the home is said to have then escaped its confines and bit Natosha Belcher on the right arm. Treatment from EMS was requested for the wounds.

Dale Belcher declined to provide a written statement at the time, but the report did note visible marks on his neck from the incident.

Natosha Belcher is facing felony charges of strangulation and misdemeanor charges of domestic battery.
