CLEAR FORK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Clear Fork woman faces stemming from a series of incidents Tuesday in which multiple threats were directed at various individuals.
Corporal T.B. Sizemore of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department reports that on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at approximately 3:10pm, the Wyoming County 911 Center contacted Cpl. Sizemore regarding a possible verbal domestic situation in progress.
Specifically, it was reported that the subject, Rebecca Johnson, was attempting to strike people with a PVC pipe in the Clear Fork area of Wyoming County.
Johnson is purported to have appeared emotionally distraught upon the arrival of Cpl. Sizemore at the scene, and reports indicate her face to have given the appearance that she had been crying prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
It is reported that Johnson would not communicate with clearly with law enforcement and that attempts were made to secure Johnson in handcuffs for officer and public safety, and to allow for the conducting of a more thorough investigation.
Upon attempts to restrain Johnson, Johnson is reported to have become extremely irate and uncontrollable, screaming and running away.
The subject locked herself inside a residence, forcing Cpl. Sizemore to make forced entry, at which point Johnson exited the residence through a separate door before being brought to the ground.
The subject became combative at this time, swinging her elbows and attempting to strike the officer before being stunned, which resulted in immediate compliance.
Placing Johnson under arrest for Obstructing and securing the subject, Cpl. Sizemore continued his investigation into the invents which had transpired. It was discovered that Johnson had been outside a neighboring residence threatening to kill the homeowner as well as the children who resided within.
Information was also obtained indicating that Johnson had made attempts to strike another individual with a large PVC pipe, leading to a Domestic Assault charge.
Voluntary written and verbal statements pertaining to the incident were obtained, and Rebecca Johnson has been charged with Obstructing, Assault, and Domestic Assault based on the events which occurred Tuesday.
