SISSONVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 17-year-old was killed Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Kanawha County, authorities said.
The accident was reported around 4 p.m. on Rocky Fork Road in the Sissonville area, in the 7100 block, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
A preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling from Sissonville toward Cross Lanes when it drifted into the left lane, sharply corrected back into its lane, then left the roadway.
The vehicle landed on its side in a ravine and struck a tree.
The sheriff’s office said more information will be released after family notifications are completed.
