TAYLOR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 19-year-old man drowned Sunday afternoon while swimming at Tygart Lake, according to the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (DNR).
Officials say 19-year-old Dustin Nixon was swimming with a group of friends near the Barbour and Taylor county line when the incident occurred.
Emergency responders recovered Nixon’s body around 7 PM Sunday.
The West Virginia DNR, West Virginia State Police, the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office, and local fire and EMS crews all responded to the scene.
