LOGAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two men were arrested in Logan County Wednesday in connection with a drug investigation.
Reports from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office indicate that Logan County Officers Corporal Tucker, Corporal Crum, and Lieutenant Carter were dispatched to a Nighbert Ave. residence which was revealed to be the home of Thomas Esposito.
Speaking with the officers at the door, Esposito’s pockets were seen to contain haphazardly concealed clear baggiest of what appeared to be marijuana, and a strong scent of marijuana could be detected emitting from within the residence.
Upon obtaining both written and verbal consent from Esposito, the officers searched the residence wherein a vast assortment of various substances were located.
These included copious amounts of marijuana, along with digital scales and packaging and distribution materials.
Esposito was also revealed to be in possession of 24 Suboxone 8mg sublingual films, and advised of the presence of Todd Mooney on the upper floor of the residence.
Upon locating Mooney, officers located additional quantities of marijuana, as well as 25.5 Suboxone films, 5 Xanax, 105 Kolonopin, 50 Adderall pills, 49 Roxicodone 30mg, meth, THC Wax, psychedelic mushrooms, 92 Dextroamphetamine pills, and 1,920 Neurontin pills.
Deputies then learned of an additional residence wherein Mooney may also have been housing illegal substances.
Written and verbal consent was provided, and a second search conducted. This search revealed an additional 990 Neurontin pills and 11 pounds of marijuana.
The total approximate amount of marijuana discovered is reported to be 22 pounds, while 2910 total Neurontin pills were located.
The individuals in question are reportedly convicted felons, and Mr. Mooney was in possession of a .45 caliber pistol.Â
