BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A pay request totaling several hundred thousand dollars was approved on Tuesday by the Raleigh County Commission for the Ghent Gig Ready Project.
Raleigh County Commission members assembled at the commission offices on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, for the first Regular Session meeting for the month of August.
The final item listed as part of the “New Business” portion of the commission agenda, the pay request funds will pertain primarily to costs associated with engineering for the broadband project, though administrative costs and legal fees will also be addressed through the funds, according to Raleigh County Commission President, Greg Duckworth.
The approval of the Ghent Gig Ready pay request on Tuesday follows that of updates from the Raleigh County Planning & Zoning Committee, as well as consideration for a pay request in the amount of $50,142.50 for the Harper Eccles Sewer Project.
Members of the Raleigh County Commission are scheduled to reconvene for their next Regular Session meeting on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 10:00am.
