BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Boone County man is facing multiple charges after allegedly threatening his wife with a knife and puncturing her vehicle’s tire during a domestic dispute in the Twilight community.
According to the West Virginia State Police, Trooper B.C. French responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Chap Road on the evening of May 29.
When the trooper arrived, he spoke with the victim, who reported that she and her husband, Joseph Vance, had been involved in a verbal argument.
The victim told police that during the dispute, Vance allegedly stated, “I have something for you,” before pulling out a knife.
According to the complaint, Vance then took an aggressive stance toward the victim while holding the knife, causing her to fear for her safety.
The victim further reported that Vance used the knife to stab the front driver’s-side tire of her vehicle before leaving the scene on a four-wheeler prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
During the investigation, Trooper French observed a punctured tire on a white 2016 Kia Rio. Authorities estimated the damage to the vehicle at approximately $150.
As a result of the investigation, Vance is being charged with one count of brandishing, one count of domestic assault, and one count of injuring or tampering with a vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation by the West Virginia State Police.
