FLAT TOP, WV (LOOTPRESS)— A Mercer County man was arrested Friday evening after reportedly exposing himself to a state trooper responding to a domestic disturbance call, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Around 7:59 p.m. on October 10, 2025, Mercer County 911 dispatched a trooper to the Flat Top area following a report from a caller, who said Cody Hicks was throwing and breaking items inside the home.
While traveling along Piney Flats Road toward the residence, the trooper spotted Hicks standing on the edge of the roadway. As the trooper approached, Hicks exposed himself, shook his penis at the trooper, and stuck up both middle fingers.
When the trooper arrived at the home, both victims confirmed Hicks had been acting violently — throwing a pumpkin, breaking glass, and attempting to spit on them. One victim told police Hicks did spit on her, and officers observed evidence of this on her sweatshirt.
The women declined to press domestic charges, but Hicks was taken into custody for indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.
