WEBSTER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Webster County man was arrested Friday after allegedly making threats involving Hacker Valley Elementary School, prompting a precautionary lockdown.
According to West Virginia State Police, troopers received a complaint around 7:50 p.m. Thursday, October 22, regarding threats allegedly made against the school’s principal.
The complainant reported that Frankie Williams, 39, of Hacker Valley, had made threatening comments toward the principal.
Trooper McCarty and Trooper Buzzard attempted to speak with Williams at his residence, but police say he refused to cooperate and fled on foot into a wooded area behind the home.
On Friday, October 23, Williams was reportedly at Holly River Grocery when he allegedly made another threat involving Hacker Valley Elementary School.
As a precaution, school officials placed the elementary school on lockdown.
Later Friday afternoon, troopers located Williams and took him into custody on a charge of terroristic threats.
