WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Say it isn’t SNOW?
A cold front will stall along the Ohio River this morning and shift back north this afternoon. This will allow for a warm afternoon with a southwest breeze developing. Isolated showers may occur across the mountains this afternoon, but many areas will remain dry.
The cold front will then shift back south tonight and cross the entire region by Wednesday morning. A band of gusty showers will accompany the front, which will bring much colder conditions to the area for Wednesday.
Gusty winds will also prevail Wednesday as the cold air spreads into the region. Rain could change to snow for a time across the middle Ohio Valley early Wednesday morning and will change to snow in the mountains late Wednesday morning, with a coating across the higher elevations Wednesday.
Snow showers could linger in the mountains into Thursday, with a spotty shower out over the lowlands as weak disturbances cross.
High pressure crosses Friday, with lows Friday morning near or below freezing again.
Low pressure brings wet weather this weekend, followed by high pressure with near seasonable temperatures early next week.
