BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is charged with malicious assault after allegedly striking another man in the head with a piece of wood.
According to Beckley Police, an assault call came in from Temple Street. The victim said he had been beaten and was covered in blood. When police arrived, they found the victim covered in blood.
The victim says that Dwayne Odham, his roommate, hit him in the head with a piece of wood. The suspect came towards the police with his hands behind his back and said he was ready. Odham advised that the victim was picking on him, and he lost it.
The victim told police that he had placed a towel over the bathroom door while Odham was in the bathroom in a playful manner. The victim advised that Odham had poured a bottle of pop on him and then began striking him with a piece of wood.
Blood was discovered to be pooled up near the recliner, on the walls, and curtains.
Odham was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Petit Larceny. He was charged with malicious assault in this incident. He is in jail under a 5,000 dollar bond.
