RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Commission has announced that a grant of $10,000 has been awarded to the Raleigh County Veterans Museum to help with operating expenses.
“The Raleigh County Veterans Museum has been hit hard by the Coronavirus this year affecting their ability to raise much needed funds,” noted Commissioner Ron Hedrick. “It’s important to preserve the military’s rich history in a facility like The Raleigh County Veteran’s Museum. This museum is great way for young people to learn about the role the military has played in preserving our freedom.”
Cindy Parker the Director of the Raleigh County Veteran’s Museum added, “I’m humbled by this generous donation from the Raleigh County Commission. We thank the Commission and the citizens of Raleigh County for their support of the Raleigh County Veteran’s Museum.”
