OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One individual was rescued by the Oak Hill Fire Department (OHFD) Sunday morning during an apartment fire.
According to the OHFD, early Sunday morning, the OHFD along with mutual aide depts Fayetteville and Mt. Hope were dispatched to a structure fire in Oak Hill with possible entrapment.
Within minutes the first units arrived on the scene, firefighters quickly knocked down the fire and simultaneously they located a patient within the apartment.
The patient was removed and turned over to EMS.
Just before OHFD’s arrival, the occupants in the neighboring apartment were escorted to safety with the assistance of the Oak Hill Police Department (OHPD).
The OHFD says that they are thankful to the public for their continued support of their operations.
No other information is being released at this time.
The scene has been turned over to the WV State Fire Marshal.
