CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – As election season approaches, candidates have been continuing their campaigning efforts for a number of upcoming races, including that for the position of Governor of West Virginia.
Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate, Patrick Morrisey issued a statement on Tuesday propounding his own qualifications for the esteemed role, making note of his own public service history.
“Our positive record of achieving BIG conservative results is unmatched in this Governor’s race,” the Attorney General said, going on to specify children’s educational opportunities and U.S. energy independence as particular points of interest for his campaign.
“When I serve as Governor, West Virginia will play an important role in restoring America’s energy independence and our kids’ educational opportunities will soar. Think Hope Scholarship, charters, vo-tech ed, improved public school outcomes and more.”
Morrisey also reiterated the value of his own experience, noting that West Virginians need a Governor who will be ready to take on the duties of the role immediately upon assuming the position.
“Everyone else will take two years to learn where the bathroom is located. We need someone ready on Day One,” the candidate declared.
