MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – As autumn fades and winter approaches, Alpine Ministries is welcoming a new season of faith-filled adventure at its long-running Bible camps. For more than 65 years, the ministry—founded in 1960 as an extension of Appalachian Bible College—has provided Christ-centered programs that blend outdoor excitement with spiritual growth in the hills of southern West Virginia.
Since its inception, Alpine has reached thousands of children and teens through year-round camps and outdoor ministry opportunities. Whether racing down snowy slopes or soaring across summer zip lines, participants consistently leave with lasting memories and a strengthened walk with Christ.
Winter Camp Kicks Off 2026 Season
The ministry’s first major event of the year, Alpine’s 2026 Winter Camp, is scheduled for January 30–February 1. Designed for middle and high school students ages 12–18, the weekend offers worship services, group devotions, and an array of indoor and outdoor activities.
Campers enjoy climbing walls, gym sports, and winter recreation—along with the option to ski or tube at nearby Winterplace Ski Resort. Affordable registration includes meals and lodging, offering families an accessible and spiritually enriching winter getaway. Registration is now open at alpineministries.com/camps.
Summer Bible Camps Set for June–July 2026
Following Winter Camp, Alpine Ministries will launch its extensive lineup of summer Bible camps, running throughout June and July. Each camp is tailored to specific age groups, pairing adventure with opportunities to grow in faith.
Day Camp (ages 5–12)
Held June 1–5 and June 29–July 3, Day Camp introduces young campers to Bible lessons, games, crafts, nature study, swimming, rafting on the pond, and Scripture memory. Sessions run 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with early drop-off and flexible daily or weekly pricing.
Junior Camp (ages 8–12)
Overnight Junior Camps take place July 6–10, July 13–17, and July 27–31. Campers enjoy chapel messages, team-building challenges, the Blob, zip lines, climbing tower, pond activities, and high-energy games.
Teen Camp (ages 12–18)
Teen campers can attend sessions June 8–13, June 15–20, and June 22–27, each designed to encourage deeper discipleship through chapel services, personal growth opportunities, whitewater rafting, and high-ropes adventures.
Across all camps, favorites like the adventure swing, giant water slide, ga-ga ball, skit nights, and the snack shop remain beloved highlights. Camper reviews reflect the ministry’s impact, with participants calling it a “fantastic week” and praising staff and spiritual encouragement. Many cite Scripture—including John 15:4–5—as central to commitments formed at camp.
A Safe, Christ-Centered Environment
Alpine Ministries emphasizes safety and spiritual development across all programs. Staff members are trained in first aid, CPR, counseling, and Bible leadership to ensure a secure environment where campers can grow spiritually, emotionally, physically, and mentally.
Parents are encouraged to register early for both winter and summer programs at alpineministries.com/bible-camp or by calling 304-877-6427. The website includes additional details on pricing, packing lists, dress codes, and available discounts.
Adventure Programs and Retreats
Beyond its youth camps, Alpine offers customizable adventure-based retreats for teens and adults. Groups can enjoy whitewater rafting, rappelling, caving, paintball, high-ropes challenges, and hiking—all crafted to encourage spiritual growth in God’s creation.
