MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Appalachian Bible College (ABC) recently concluded its 2025 Missions Conference, held October 27-29 under the theme “Passionately Uplifting Our Cause.” The event continued the celebration of ABC’s 75th anniversary.
Over 40 missionaries from around the world gathered on campus, representing diverse regions and mission fields. Attendees included students, faculty, staff, and community members, all united in their commitment to advancing the cause of missions. In a nod to the milestone anniversary, all scheduled speakers were ABC alumni, serving as inspiring representatives of the many graduates impacting lives globally. Featured speakers included Mike Allen, Tom Jeffcott, Vlad Kozubovskyi, Bill Lake, and Nathan Robbins, who delivered powerful messages during general sessions on topics ranging from personal dedication to missions to enlisting in Christ’s Church.
The conference featured a packed schedule of corporate sessions, prayer times, and interactive opportunities. During breakout sessions, students participated in missionary briefing sessions where various mission agencies shared details about their work, current needs, and expectations for potential volunteers. Following these, students visited missionary displays to follow up on discussions, inquire about internships, and explore ministry opportunities in the field. These hands-on elements helped foster connections and encouraged attendees to enlarge their understanding of missions, dedicate their lives to its fulfillment, and demonstrate willingness to serve.
ABC’s diverse student body amplified the event’s global flavor, with current enrollment including individuals from 14 countries and 29 states living on campus. Who would have thought that Southern West Virginia would host such an amazing conference, bringing together people who are literally changing lives around the world? The gathering underscored ABC’s role as a hub for missions training, with sessions streamed live at abc.edu/live for broader access.
As a fundraiser tied to the conference, ABC hosted its eleventh annual Beautiful Feet 5K on October 25, drawing participants to support event expenses. Additional amenities included childcare and a children’s missions’ program for families attending evening sessions.
