MINGO COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Approximately three pounds of methamphetamine and nearly $20,000 in cash were seized during the execution of a search warrant in Mingo County, according to the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said officers with the US 119 Drug Task Force, the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office and the West Virginia State Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Vinson Street on July 28, 2026.
Authorities said the search warrant stemmed from a collaborative investigation involving the Pikeville Police Department Drug Unit and the participating West Virginia law enforcement agencies.
During the search, investigators seized approximately three pounds of methamphetamine and $19,357 in U.S. currency.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
