WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Officials with the Wheeling Police Department reported an arrest was made after an early morning car chase.
On Monday, March 25, 2024 at approximately 1:45a.m. Wheeling Police Department officers were called to the 2500 block of Eoff Street for a welfare check. When officers arrived at the address, a man left the area in a car.
Officers pursued the car which fled from officers through the Center Wheeling area, south on WV 2 for several miles, ending on Fishers Lane outside McMechen city limits. Wheeling Police officers with the help of other local law enforcement agencies were able to locate the suspect and bring him into custody.
Evan Jackson Fisher, 29, of Wheeling was arrested and charged with one county of felony fleeing in a vehicle. Fisher was taken to the Northern Regional Jail where he will wait pending court arraignment. A mugshot for Fisher is unavailable at this time.
