FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Fayetteville Fire Department responded to an ATV accident near Beckwith on June 16 that resulted in one person being flown from the scene for medical treatment.
According to the fire department, crews were dispatched to the reported ATV crash on Route 16 near Beckwith. Rescue 37 and Engine 32 responded to the scene with nine firefighters.
Upon arrival, firefighters worked alongside Jan-Care Ambulance personnel to provide first aid to the injured patient. Engine 32 also established a landing zone near the crash site to allow a medical helicopter to safely land.
After receiving treatment at the scene, the patient was airlifted by Air Evac 121 to receive additional medical care.
The fire department did not release information about the patient’s condition or the circumstances surrounding the crash.
