BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Boone County woman was taken into custody Sunday afternoon after allegedly making violent threats outside a gas station in Madison.
According to West Virginia State Police, Trooper M.D. Veres responded to a call around 3 p.m. reporting a disturbance at the Exxon on Old River Road. Witnesses said a woman, later identified as Amanda Lynn Law, had been standing in the middle of the road talking to herself and muttering threats.
One store clerk told officers she overheard Law saying she was going to “gouge someone’s eyes out,” leaving the employee fearful for her safety.
Trooper Veres located Law a short time later, walking along nearby railroad tracks. Police say she appeared disoriented, with dilated pupils, bloodshot eyes, and other signs of impairment. She was detained and transported back to the gas station for further investigation.
Law was placed under arrest and now faces charges related to making threats and disorderly conduct.
