Greenbrier West 12, PikeView 3
Charmco – Dale Boone homered as Greenbrier West defeated PikeView 12-3 Wednesday in Charmco.
Boone and sophomore Brayden McClung drove in four runs each, with McClung collecting four hits.
Nathan Riffe led PikeView with two hits in the loss.
West improves to 12-4 and will travel to Wyoming East on Monday.
Greenbrier East 9, Princeton 8
Princeton – Greenbrier East broke a 6-6 tie with three runs in the top of the seventh inning and held off a Princeton rally to beat the Tigers 9-8 Thursday in Princeton.
Jake Roshau drove in two runs for the Spartans while Darris Boswell led them with three hits. Ashton Cochran added three hits in the win.
Grant Cochran led Princeton with two hits and drove in two runs for Princeton in the loss.
Westside 9, River View 6
Clearfork – Westside held off a late River View rally to top the Renegades 9-6 at home Thursday evening.
Kaiden Vance led the way for the Renegades with two hits, driving in two runs while Kevin Mitchell drove in three runs in the win.
Westside improves to 3-12 and will travel to Wyoming East on Friday.
Beckley 17, James Monroe 0 (5 innings)
Lindside – Danny Dickenson collected three hits and drove in tow runs as Beckley improved to 17-6 with a 17-0 win over James Monroe Thursday in Lindside.
The Flying Eagles capitalized on nine James Monroe errors with Travis Daniel picking up the win on the mound.
Beckley will travel to Riverside on Saturday.
Independence 5, North Marion 2
Coal City – Atticus Goodson hit his eight home run of the season as Independence used a three-run sixth to defeat North Marion 5-2 in Coal City in a rematch of last year’s Class AA state semifinal.
Tanner Sipes was dominant in the circle for Indy, striking out 12 and allowing just one earned run while also producing two hits at the plate.
Indy improves to 16-2 and will travel to Oak Hill on Monday.
