Abingdon, Va. 4, Bluefield 1
Bluefield – Blueifled was limited to just four hits Thursday, falling 4-1 to Abingdon, Va. at Bowen Field. Bryson Redmond led the Beavers with two hits in the loss.
Kerry Collins took the loss for the Beavers, pitching six innings and striking out seven, but walked five batters.
Bluefield drops to 9-3 and will host Nicholas County on Saturday.
Shady Spring 17, Elkins 4
Elkins – Josh Lovell, Evan Belcher and Colten Tate each collected three hits as Shady Spring defeated Elkins 17-4 on the road Thursday evening.
Lovell led the charge driving in three runs while Tyler Reed and Alex Johnston drove in two each.
Shady improves to 12-3 and will play at Buckhannon-Upshur on Friday.
